Punctuality
Goal: 1. To get things get done faster
2. To avoid incurring huge interest expense doing nothing; time is money and money is time.
3. To be alive rather than dead
4. To beat competition by being ahead
Background:
We keep on repeating the following:
1. Time is gold;
2. Time is the most important resource we have.. All resources can be recovered but not time; Time lost is lost forever.
3. Punctuality is the bedrock of all character. All of your leadership and management skills collapse if you are not prompt.
4. Time waits for no one;
5. We have only one life to live. Live life to its fullest. Make the best use of your time.
6. The quick and the dead. Either you are quick in a gun draw or you are dead (if you draw your gun later)
7. Live as if it were the last day of your life
Reality:
But it does not get into the heart and mind of everyone. Every day, we have struggles with people coming later than usual.
Brian Tracy says start one hour ahead of others. Are we hopeless.

Take Action
Here are 5 tips that you can start to do today to take action and get more done. To learn more about what you are doing with your time, download my FREE assessment on time management tools "HERE"
1. Identify the most valuable things you do at work. How can you organize your time so that you domore of them?
2. Develop the habit of punctuality. Start arriving to work 15 minutes early.
3. Start one hour earlier. Organize your day so that you come in and get started one hour earlier than your coworkers. Work through lunchtime, and stay one hour later. Read my blog "4 Time Management Steps to DOUBLE Your Productivity at Work" about why this action step is so important.
4. Work all the time you work. Don't waste a minute. If someone tries to distract you, tell him that you have to get "back to work!" and then do it.
5. Implement the "40 Hours Plus Formula." Work on your job, or work on yourself to get better at what you do, 50-60 hours each week. Working 40 hours a week should be your minimum. If you really want to get ahead in you career you must work 40 plus hours a week.
Thank you for reading my time management blog. You will only be more successful if you work harder tomorrow than you do today.
