Our 3f jm AM talk topic:

Jesus Heals Roman Centurion Servant:  From Bible Gateway: Luke 7:1 -10

Lesson from the Healing of Roman Centurion servant

Commentary on Jesus Christ healing of the Roman Centurion servant

This is a lesson on faith, obedience to people in authority in an organization.  The Roman Centurion who is in charge of 100 people are obeyed by his subordinate, just by one word.  Words are powerful, are tools of executive.  Jesus Christ the Supreme Head of the Church is more powerful than the Roman Centurion.  He just have to say the word, and his servant shall be healed.

Do we believe in Holy Gardens?

Do we obey our superiors?  Do obey its handbooks and processes?  I hope you do.

From Open Bible Info

We as workers and subordinates, have as one of our duties obedience.  We often discuss this in AM talk re Jesus Heals the Roman Centurion servant (from Bible Gateway  Luke 7: 1:10))  Is a supreme lesson on obedience.   The Roman soldiers tell his subordinates to do this and that, and that gets done.  Now that is his authority as a Centurion (the equivalent of a captain - somebody who is in charge of a 100 men -  3 companies.)  Now the authority of Jesus Christ the Lord is far superior/greater than that of the Centurion.  He does not have to come to the house of the Centurion to do the healing, "just say the word and he shall be healed"  This is where the prayer before the communion came from:

"LORD I AM NOT WORTHY TO RECEIVE YOU JUST SAY THE WORD AND MY SOUL SHALL BE HEALED"  Our words, our instructions, memos phone calls texts should be enough to get us move and execute our plans. (Subject to CCD 2.27)

The habit of obedience is thus not  a human injunction/exhortation but has biblical origins as well.  Not only words of men (of this office) but words from God and Bible. Are we faithful to all of these?
