Subject : Use of social media
Goal:
1. To use the social media to promote sales and revenue;
2. To gain more advocates and apostles for our product
Reality:
1. FB is being abused; many staff are using FB during office hours both to promote our product and their relationships
2. FB and other social media are being used to get even, criticize, provoke anger and jealousy in other people who could be future partners or associate later on.
WTDN advice:
1. Please limit your social media use to being positive, of promoting our products and goodwill;
2 During working hours and while using company computers/FFE, let us use pages and not personal accounts
3. To stop using this to harasss, ridicule, reprimand employees, former employees, officers colleague or for spreading unfounded information, hearsay, chismis, to defame the integrity/character of the individual subject of the post. Such is subject to Anti Cybercrime law, and without the waiver, the company computer is subject to seizure and lawsuits
We do not wish to see anymore employees, all ready subject of disciplinary action being posted at social media. We will not hesitate to use the law to stop further abuses
