I still remember when we were asked by Sir JUS to have our career plans. A 5-year plan on how we can achieved what we want.
ReplyDeleteI followed the both the SMART format. I wrote it down and even graphed it for me to see how am i going to achieve it. It was year 1997, I am a neophyte, all i know that time was to make a flowchart. I am on AC1 Level, an Intern but that simple yet motivated plan before the year end, I was promoted to AC2, then the following year, I was able to be promoted 4x and was able to make a manual for 5S & TPM having the salary level I indicated in the plan, acquiring the required skills and competences that needed for promotion. I was able to handle bigger tasks and projects.
Now, I still can do it. I have done it before, so I can do it much better again.
Everyone of us, ca do it too. New or old, it is in your hand. Make it happen.
