Background:

        1. We had a scholarship under the Amado M. Saguinsin Memorial Foundation with scores taken from high school and college. We stopped this after finding out that we had very low up take of scholars joining the company.  Gratitude was not observed in the beneficiaries.  That hurts.

             We could have better results by spending on our employees and sellers children

        2. Education is an important legacy given by parents to children and parents will work very hard to give education to their children

        3.  A relative, an uncle has been able to grow a stable and profitable agri business because of this program.

WHAT TO DO.

Establish a SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM FOR CHILDREN OF EMPLOYEES AND SELLERS. 

What :   A competitive scholarship program for children of  long time employees and sellers of Holy Gardens Memorial Park

WHO    :   Children of employees and sellers

       A.   Qualification of parents:

       1.  Employees:

            At least one year with the company and R3

           Legally married and child is legitimate child

          No class C and D offense

          Performance is at least 90%

       2. Sellers:

          At least one year with the company proven with SEAD

         Sold at least P2 million the previous year

         Regularly attends events, or meetings held for sellers

        B   Qualification of Scholars  (Screening)

       At least 18 years of age single

      Completed the Grade 12 from either public or  private school

       Average of 85  with no failing grades

       Must pass competitive exams and panel interview (to determine determination and passion for Holy Gardens)


      C. To maintain scholarship:

      1. Average Grade of 3 or 85 or higher

      2. No F or unauthorized withdrawals

      3.  Semestral report on school activities 

     4.  Apprenticeship with the company on summer vacation

     5.  Must not marry or be pregnant single mother during the scholarship duration

     6.  Attendance of meetings/events called for scholars

      D. Amount of scholarship

         Tuition fees books and other school expenses to be directly paid to the school, private or public

         Not to exceed P20,000  per year

        Sources of funds :   ME 

     E. Eligible courses:  4 year course

          Marketing

         Civil engineering

         Architecture

         Accounting

         Marketing

         IT and programming, computer engineering

     E. Requirement for scholar:

         1.  Attendance of events called for scholars

          2. Two years service in the company 

         If the scholar fails to complete the course or fails in his course (disqualified from the scholarhsip) his other siblings lose the opportunity to avail of scholarship again. The amount spent is subject to salary or commission deduction from the parents

      Maximum number  5 per year for the entire Holy Gardens group

When:   School Year 2016 2017

  1. This proposed program of Holy Gardens Memorial Park will be of great help to employees and sellers with children who excelled academically in school. Parents worked very hard for the education of their children but with this scholarship, it will somehow lessen the financial burden of parents for the tuition fees provided the qualifications for the said scholarship are met.

1. One of our beliefs is learning. It pays that you learn more to do more Just to survive you have to learn how forage in a forest or raise your food, catch prey
