MANAGING YOUR BRAND IN SOCIAL MEDIA - 26th Marketing Forum

Last May 24, 2012 we were invited by Sir JUS to attend the 26th Marketing Forum - Managing your Brand in Social Media held at Ateneo De Manila University, Graduate School of Business and here are my learnings:

  • is a visual identity; to be differentiated; to stand out
  • a brand is a promise of experience

  • Brand =Identity - brands are symbols, not just a logo but it stands for a specific value that are expressed by images and story.
          Singapore Airlines = Service
          Harley Davidson = Freedom
          Starbucks = Experiences

          D- Definition - Quality & Features
          E- Experience - Emotions/Feelings
          A- Activate - Touch points
          L- Live
    
          *Creating World-class Brands start from the CORE; Inside-out; What we BELIEVE

          *CLARITY & COURAGE 
             - Being Bold
             - Relevant & Differentiated
             - Trusted
            *Creating an experience

            *NEW BRAND / NEW CATEGORY
              - Obsessively crafted; New re-branded ads focused on product
              - Brand is the essence of "winner and craftsmanship"

  • Brand = Focus
           Focus      Focus     Focus
  • Brand = Behavior
          - The people/staff must be innovative;
          - People / employee must believe in the company's brand;
          - It must be aligned with the internal environment

      Very informative & interesting. It helps the business to be successful against its competitors. Applying it to our business, make our business grow and successful by giving our customer a good service, valuing them and make them comfortable, in that way we are managing our brand by creating a powerful and unforgetable experience that will encourage our suspect, prospect and customer to buy our products.

1. One of our beliefs is learning. It pays that you learn more to do more Just to survive you have to learn how forage in a forest or raise your food, catch prey

2. In order to discharge your job well, you have to learn your admin plan the process flow and standards.

3. To keep up with changes, you have to learn and read. There is no other way
