1. Mental models
2. Personal Mastery
3. Systemic Thinking
4. Shared Learning
5. Shared Vision
WHAT IS THE FIFTH DISCIPLINE?
Shared learning
How this is achieved? There are many avenues that we are exploring in order to make this happen:
Face to face
1. SBU visit
2. National Conference
3. AM talk
4. PE
5. On the job training
Web and indirect methods:
1. Telecom
2. Ppt assignment
3. Blogs read/comments
4. Email read/send
5. Journals and book reports
This post would delve on mental models.
We need to replace the mental models that are relevant to the corporate setting and that will help the company achieve its goals, thrive and beat the competition. Our purpose, as we do in orientation is to replace the old mental models with new one, with one that is open rather than one that is closed.
Old New
Me We
Meron/ Wala Marami
Alibi/dahilan Paraan
Problem Solution
Proactive Reactive
Positive Negative
Resource oriented Resourceful
Blame game Responsible
Mahirap Kayang kaya
I am the best Collaboration
Insubordination Compliance
8 to 5 Passion/malasakit
culture of entitlement Achievement
luxury and good time Thrift
expenditures Revenues
one at a time multi tasking
old is useless old gives you strength
lax disciplined
WE HOPE YOU ARE ALIGNED MORE WITH THE NEW. IF YOU ARE NOT ALIGN YOURSELF WITH THE NEW
A new mental model is asked of everyone and if we can share the same mental model, then we can probably thrive as an organization
We must be aligned with the new mental models being enumerated above. Change our mindset and be open enough on constructive criticisms which will help us improve and grow.
