Ano ang goal setting/tuwid na daan?

ANO ANG TUWID NA DAAN?

. My uncle told me last Saturday this father, (our late Lelong) said that to reach your goal, the shortest distance is the straight line between point A to point B. That is what he used to tell his children (my cousin)

But he also told me and he realized, that there are rotondays (circles or byways) in that road/path.

Thus his children told him that they may have diversions, but "Dad i will make sure that I reach that goal."

Now what is tuwid na daan. That of my Lelong or that of my cousin?

Take note that to reach that goal, time is an important resource. Many of our colleagues waste their time procrastinating ie putting off things that they can do today. Sometimes, they try to save on centavos but loses thousands daily on cost of money. How sad.: lack of perception of value and the real meaning of running a business.  Do not understand HABAKUK, the quick and the dead, the importance of time and speed as a competitive advantage

Sometimes they get bad habits for lack of strict supervision or lack of training and mentoring where they used to work before. Having ore salary and working in business district does not show that they had good training.  Some of them manage to give alibis, or object, after the meeting is over and decisions are made.  How can we succeed if the byways are our people? Who needs enemies and other hindrances.

THE HEADS LEAD THE TAILS. Our actions affect others and their perception of success and leadership.

I will annotate further the article that was forwarded to me from Business Inquirer re speed as a competitive advantage, here as seen at Bounty Fresh in its changing of business model from that of broiler supplier to that of end consumer producer  ie of Chooks to Go.

The firm headed by Ronald Mascarinas was a game changer in an industry where complacency and red tape has been the norm.  (and so with us)

We had demons in the community: ie delays/red topae  that need to be corrected.  The mindsets of the staff needs to be levelled up:

     1.  Pending panaflex at Calapan  (mag one year na ito since noted)

     2. It took too long to repair YJ in Calamba and Calapan  (it took nearly 2 years)

     3. Roadworks delay in Calapan;  the money was ready in June, and we incur interest expenses of P1t per day.  We had paid; P100t to the lender, and probably the same.  The head of the sbu, the engineer, the contractor spend a lot of time talking about this.  The pdca, contracts, specs remain unsubmitted and unsigned.

     4.  Pending project in an sbu caused by:     need for alteration, the delay at SB, and now that we re ready to resume, still lpending;

     5.  A one year wish  for new uniform.

     6.  2016 corporate plan should be submitted in 2015  not this year.  Even as I write this, no final marketing plan has been submitted.

     7.  The call for hiring has remain unheeded/unaccomplished.

(this article we are sorry could be a self critique, and adverse to the current state of the corporation

Up and down the organization, some people have restraining forces and had frustrated repeated efforts to move forward because of failure to obey, comply, cooperate, dance with the music, and even understand the businesss

I constantly remind my management team to always assume that competition has a better business strategy at any given time despite our intense efforts in strategizing and planning activities. I always tell my team that we should always organize for speed and endure the oftentimes boring process of repetitive training—to ensure that quality of execution will always be unmatched. To gain dominance, for example, we organized to open two new stores every single day for one year. It was as if a speeding training were passing by and the industry can just watch. The move was a game changer as well for the organization. While we were Unisun, we had the model and to benchmark the FI pit stop crew who can change tires load 100 liters of fue, clean the vehicle, do some quick changesl all under 10 seconds Jorge  U. On being efficient: lessons from FI pit stops

Efficiency means:

1.  Doing things fast with quality and accuracy;

2.  Having more output than inputs

The greatest example of efficiency is Formula 1 pit stop which can be accomplished in under 6 seconds (vs 67 seconds 40 years ago)  There are 20 people doing this:  changing tires, refuelling the vehicle, cleaning the air intakes, the visor of the driver,, and polishing the car.   The race can be lost or won by the performance of the pit crew, or the pit stop strategy:  one vs two pit stops.... Having full tank that can slow down the car in  single pit stop;   or less fuel so that the car can run faster in a two pit strategy:
