SUBJECT:   SENDING SUBMISSION OF DAILY AM TALK, ATTENDANCE AND ARRIVAL REPORT

Objectives:    1.  To practice Corde (to do things even when no one is watching)
                      2.  To practice self discipline and being punctual
3    To affirm attendance and arrival

Reality:

1.  Very few subscribe to this or obey
2.   We saw that due to failure to be punctual, some of our SBUs were penalized.

That time is gold, that time lost is money lost.
Those who are constantly late committed this sin of tardiness in BIR submission

What:

1.  Submit this faithfully
2.  Mr. John will monitor and report: every  Saturday:
      1.  Those who did not submit
2   Remind notify those who are late
3.  We will mark absent those who will not submit. for the day.

10 ways to develop the traits that get millionaires rich - from Entrepreneur Magazine

Fyi. Let us develop traits that will launch to have millionaire attitude and be wealthy. As employee we are millionaire to be trainee.  We have always told you that we want to develop you to be a businessman and possibly be a millionaire. It is good to start developing this now.

Advice from Entrepreneur on How to Develop Millionaire Mentaility

When the mind is ready, the Money will come

So what are the the advice:

1. Practice Integrity  -

One of the secrets is keeping your word.   Practice supporting the boss and or your
co worker so that they keep their word.  Be precise in your communications, be exact so that we dont
    taint our  integrity.

2. Be social.

Have a great PR, be on good terms with all people, Dont quarrel especially vs customers or
co workers.  Some dont.  They are anti social

3. Pay the price.  You have to work hard, you must be willing to take experience before cash.   You must
defer pleasure and gratification. You must learn to be frugal.  You must be ready to take risks

WHAT EVER YOU DO AND ACCOMPLISH IS A REFLECTION OF YOUR PERSONALITY

4. Control  your mind.

Focus. Fill your minds with positive thoughts.  Block negative thoughts... Learn new things that will
   improve your techniques.

5. Acquire skills

Be it technical in your job, the steps in your job, management, supervision, that will make you a better
    worker

6.  Master your communication

Written, spoken. Learn public speaking.  "How to Win Friends and Influence People"

7.  Follow the truth

Face reality as they come.  In business you can not perfume the pig.   A spade is a spade and you can
not candy coat reality.  If you are not selling, perhaps your product does not match the competitor, and
or your price sucks and you are doing less in promoting your product and developing your channel

Reality bites and a good businessman accepts the truth and changes himself and his product/organization
   A failure will not

8.  Do not compete

Rockefeller said "Competition is a sin"  It is true and not true.  You have to keep up with the minimum of
market place.  To be liked in market place it means you do not have to be a copy cat. You have to be
unique  by being yourself.   Being a copy cat means you are just copying and following the leaders.  Be
in the blue ocean. Create your own uniqueness and market

9. Respect money:

   1. Cash is king
   2.  Never run of cash
   3. Pay your bills on time
   4.  Collect your receivables on time
   5.  Have updated financial records on sales, collection and inventory

10.  Aim dream higher.

Dream big. Dreams are cheap.  What you achieve is dependent on your dreams.  Achieving P1 million
or P10 million are the same. The difference is in the dreaming...

Removing sales myths; do you still believe some of them?

PAGSASANAY SA TAGUMPAY

Selling Myths Revealed

By Tom Hopkins, The Builder of Sales Champions

The true measure of the success of any business is the bottom line—sales minus cost of sales. That’s about as bare bones as you can get when looking at it. Managing the cost of sales is an analytical process. It’s pretty much black and white. Managing sales, however, is a different matter
While certain aspects of the selling process can be analyzed, there is always one factor in every selling situation that can cause you to toss your statistics out the window. That one factor is people. Selling is a people business and you need people skills in order to succeed. Products are not sold to businesses. Products are sold to people in those businesses who make decisions for the good of the company. That’s why it’s so critical to provide training in the area of people skills for your entire sales team.

Dispelling the ‘natural born salesperson myth’

There is no such thing as a natural born salesperson. No woman in the delivery room looked at her newborn child and said, “We’ve got a Champion salesperson here!” Everyone starts out with pretty much the same abilities. Where you go from there depends on a lot of factors. However, what you become in life boils down to the skills you master along the way.

Selling has been called both an art and a science. The title doesn’t really matter. What matters is that selling skills are there to be learned--just like the skill of riding a bicycle. It takes the desire to learn and it takes practice.

Another aspect of this myth is that in order to succeed in sales, you must have ‘the gift of gab.’ While it’s true that you must not be afraid to talk with people, it’s even more important that you learn to listen. We have been given two eyes, two ears and one mouth. They should be used in that proportion. Learn to listen and observe twice as much as you talk, and you will succeed in sales.

Introvert vs. Extrovert in Sales

It doesn’t matter what your current disposition is. Both introverts and extroverts can do well in sales. The major difference between the two types of people is that extroverts tend to be interesting while introverts are more interested.

There’s a story told in Dale Carnegie’s book, How to Win Friends and Influence People, about a man who was invited to a party where he only knew the hosts. During the evening, he mingled with many of the other attendees. Afterward, the guests commented to the hosts on what a wonderful person this new guest was. When asked what they found so interesting about him, the guests realized they hadn’t learned much about him at all. He had made them feel important by getting them to talk about themselves. He was interested.

The interesting person tends to entertain others. The interested person lets others do the talking. The lesson to learn from this is that you can benefit from a little of each disposition. In sales, you want what you say to have an impact and in some cases to achieve that impact requires a bit of entertaining. However, if you keep your focus on asking questions about the clients’ needs, what they like about what they’ve seen so far, what they’d like to know more about, and so on, they’ll end up telling you just what they want to own.

Learning to Sell

Learning to sell isn’t difficult. You already sell yourself every day to your loved ones and acquaintances. You sell others in your circle on where to have lunch, what movie to see, and how to spend your recreation time. If you have influence over children, you are selling your values to them all the time.

Becoming a successful professional at selling takes little more effort than it took you to learn to live by the Golden Rule. In selling, rather than treating people as you would like to have them treat you, treat people as they want to be treated. Every action, gesture, and word should tell them that you are there to serve their needs. You’re not the stereotypical salesperson who is only out to get their money. With an attitude of servitude your business will grow exponentially.

It is important that a company has a culture.  A culture can control a company the hearts and minds of its people that no reports or system can.  The way of doing things, the habits of the organization takes precedence over all other things.  However we have to balance that by learning, because otherwise the company becomes static and old.  A company can reinvent itself by these core values:

We can build that culture by education training and building a culture of learning.  Thus we encourage our staff to be computer literate, we hire computer literate people and we strive to be paperless and to work via computer. We have bought books to encourage reading and learning

We want to build a company that IS EXCELLENT, THAT GIVES EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE  IS A LEARNING ORGANIZATION AND IS OPEN TO CHANGE.

Let us lead inclusive holy gardens activities KASAMA MGA GARDEN TECHNICIANS

TO     All

Through :   GM Madel

Several things were revealed in the national conference of GT/GC as the participants gave reason for their lack of understanding of many things:

1.  No am talk or non invitation to am talk.   The review of VMBP is not taking place.  As we all know, auto suggestion, repetition are sublimal messages that influence our habits and conscious thinking.

2.  Support by chief CMO

     1.  To show them regularly the blog sites that can be sued to improve work and participation in the contest;

     2. Providing them quickly with what they need:

          1.  tools

          2.  materials/inputs

          3.  work schedule - as in Calapan.  No WS was provided.  We spent more for the GC who still worked on the  temporary interment to the exclusion of Lawn t and 8 which are the main reason why the GC was allowed.

    3.  More and quicker communication

Many GT/GC claimed they were informed only a day before their departure.  The emails/PowerPoint presentation were sent very much much earlier

3.  Change in the mindset of heads:

      1. The text reports and the other reports do not jibe with reality

      2.  The heads must realize that in the marketing plan, in the marketing mix, the park maintenance and beautification are INCLUDED. Thus this GT/GC business must be given attention

      3. We waste money if the GC/GT arent comanded to be productive.  We are draining our resources further when these people receive salaries without adequate output.

      4.  Nothing will ever change if we do not have more ownership and more responsibility as we do our jobs.  We may change salaries system, but without change from the top, things will remain the same.

      5. Some heads committed a lot of abuse by misunderstanding ownership:

             1. Relatives of significant others dominate the business by dubious unreliable conractors

             2.   Control of interment, ISG, vault makers, conniving with them

             3.  Enforcement of CCD

MAY WE HAVE EXPLANATION WHY THE ABOVE HAPPENED?

Mentoring and outstanding workers:

 It is about getting better.

We learned from execution KISFREK that bosses must  expand peoples capability through mentoring and teaching.  Find out how

Mentoring from Small Business Trends

What Does a Business Mentor Do?

A business mentor’s particular duties can vary greatly based on each business’s individual needs. Some businesses secure mentors at the very beginning and work with them throughout many years, and others just use mentors for short-term or specific issues.
The format of these mentorships is also based on those needs and the availability of both the mentor and the business owner. In the email interview, Ken Yancey, CEO of SCORE explained:
“Some mentors and mentees may set up a standing meeting time and place where they check in on a regular basis. Others may only get in contact when an issue arises that requires their joint effort to tackle.”

How Can Businesses Find Mentors?

SCORE currently has a network of over 11,000 business mentors around the country and online. Interested businesses can visit the website to connect with a mentor, free of charge.
Alternatively, business owners can ask for assistance from personal connections or on social media or professional networking sites. Mentors themselves can even be resources for finding more people who can provide experience and guidance.
Yancey said:
“One great thing to keep in mind is that you also don’t need to have just one mentor. Try to take advantage of each mentor’s different expertise and ask them to recommend others who may be able to fill in with complementary fields of expertise.”
what to expect from a business mentor

How Do You Know What to Expect From a Good Business Mentor?

Discussing SCORE’s volunteer mentors, Yancey explained:
“Some key traits we look for in our volunteers is that they are open-minded, encouraging, good listeners and have a wealth of experience to bring to the table.”
But aside from those basic traits, a good mentor can be different for each individual business. Some businesses can benefit from a more involved mentor they can constantly bounce ideas off of. Others might want someone who they can seek out when they have specific questions. A good mentor will listen to the business owner’s wants and respond accordingly.

How Should Businesses Interact With Mentors?

DO Set Goals

Because mentorship really depends on what the business owner hopes to gain from the experience, it’s important to decide what that is before starting out.
In the email interview, Yancey wrote:
“Some of us may want someone to hold our hand through each step of the process of starting a business and others may just want a spark of inspiration or a key piece of information that will start them down the right path.”
Figure out what type of mentor relationship you’re looking for and what you’d like to accomplish in your business so that your mentor has clear instructions on how to guide you.

DON’T Do All the Talking

While it’s important for you to let a mentor know what you’re looking for, it’s equally important for you to hear what they have to say.
Yancey explained:
“A mentor may view your business from a completely different perspective than you. Be fully open to their ideas and try to understand their view. This doesn’t always mean taking their advice verbatim but it’s important to be able to see your business from multiple viewpoints.”

DO Stay Organized

Aside from your initial goals, you should constantly update what you hope to accomplish in the short term and track your progress:
“Make sure you organize your thoughts and materials in advance of each meeting and set a goal for what you want to accomplish in that session. Take notes and report back to your mentor to let them know your progress and show them the results of your collaboration on a regular basis.”

DON’T Expect Them to Do Your Work

Yancey explained:
“Think of a mentor as your own personal business guru – someone to inspire and push you in the right direction, but the work is up to you.”

DO Explore All Your Options

Not every business can use just one mentor. And not every mentor can necessarily benefit your business. Assess your goals and your progress, and if you’re not happy with the results, it may be time to move on.
Yancey said:
“The only way to know is to try them out. Try as many mentors as you like until you find one that is a perfect fit.”

Shared Vision and Learning, Shared Strategy

Memorandum:

Date:  February 3, 2014

TO          :  All

THRU      :   Cynthia
                   Fermin

SUBJECT:   SHARED LEARNING AND STRATEGY

Peter Senge was right in his book, Fifth Discipline, that the correct strategy, that must be first worked on is Shared Learning and Vision. For us to move together as a team, as one giant with unstoppable force, we have to think as one.

1.  We need a common understanding on Vision, Mission, Beliefs and Principle.  Do we have a common understanding?

How do we work on this?  What must be done now?

For instance we have park beautification as a strategy and I asked them (Oton GT) to list down 5 things.  They struggled and even then, the 5 items listed lacked details, and therefore a sure sign that they do:  1.  understand 2 are likely to implement.

What can be done further?

I understand, some SBU have their own uniform.  I wonder if this was approved, or whether the SBU understands the ABCD doctrine, or the 3fold duties of an employee

2.  How about our strategy?
1.  Why was CAF a debacle/failure.  A monumental loss?  How come MLII officer and staff, and SBU balked on this?
2.  How about BVO?
1.  It is taking a while to finish and submit everything as per schedule. It is February and we do not have complete tools/resources.
2.  I tried to do role playing for instance with Jenelle P of Oton, and we struggled.
We must be starting having prospects and selling.
Did we read the point system?  Are we motivated by the point system?
Did we learn this?
Copy this.
Reply please.

Learning from failure from Mark Hunter

"Pag gusto, may paraan; pag ayaw, maraming dahilan " BIDDA: " believe, inspire, dream, do, achieve"

Repost from Sales Hunter   December 19, 2013.

It is 5 days before Christmas.  Merry Christmas

You have to take failure positively.  Remove I from failure.  Your efforts failed but not you.  You must transform failure into success. It is how you rise from failure that counts not how you fell on your failure.

For you to try harder, you must be willing to take failures in stride.

But you must learn from your failure.  My fellow bikers often tell after they crashed:  I WILL NEVER CRASH THIS WAY AGAIN.

Have you read failing forward?  Failing forward by John Maxwell AudioBook

On our beliefs: Excellence and Learning

Memorandum:

To        :   All CMOs and other chiefs

Subject:    Excellence and Learning

Background:

We know of the following:

1.  The one who reads leads;

2.  Based on the experience and story of Ramon Orosa at Citibank, he concluded that what differentiated the whites (the expats of Citibank) was not the color of the skin, or country of origin but KNOWLEDGE.

3.  There are 3 things that separate a manager and the common masses/followers:

      1.  Knowledge

       2. Leadership

       3.  Audacity

      If one has knowledge:

      1.  He occupies a high moral ground.  A knowledgeable person, a guru, a master has the respect of others

      2.  The one who knows can expand the capabilities of others because he can mentor and teach the student to grow and learn

      3.  The one who knows can help solve the problems of the subordinates.

But knowledge alone is insufficient.  We have academicians  who have achieved nothing because they lacked the leadership to make their knowledge known/done, and even the audacity

2.   Executives are knowledge workers;
According to Peter Drucker, executives are those who are knowledge workers, and who get things done through other people

    The starting point is knowledge.

And how do you execute:   by KISFREK  (Do you know what this is?  Find out)

3.  How do you acquire knowledge?

     1.  Reading:   blogs, books.  Read and discuss blogs daily on the am talk
     2. OLO  -  Observe Learn Observe, other peers,, or the industry.  You can be an expert in the industry by doing this.  Take down notes, analyze, summarize, take pictures and videos and learn.

     3.  Attend schools and seminars.  Life is a continuing education.

You can not learn from what you are doing alone.  These are routine tasks.  Learn from Masters of Ages (through the books)

4.  Personal Mastery

Related topic here is enthusiasm  which comes from Latin root word en (inside)  theos  (God is in you)  God inspires you because he is in you.

We should remember:   "Ang pambihirang araw na ito ay nilikha ng Diyos para sa iyo;  halina at magsaya"
It refers to your ability to get hold of your emotion, inspire yourself and inspire others, no matter how difficult the road/hindrances are.

     1.  Master yourself before you can master others.

      2.  Knowing yourself, knowing your enemy, 100 battles, 100 victories.

      3.  What  is IQ, EQ, and EI?

      Is your SBU agressively:

      1.  Pursuing Personal Mastery

      2.  Learning

      3.  Pursuing excellence

Let us read your reflections/reaction, response

THIS SEEMS TO BE A BIG CHALLENGE FOR EVERYONE.  THEIR ATTENTION ON THIS IS LACKING
