Re: CV Danilo P. Francisco Jr.

I had discussion with Engr. June Francisco, the brother of the the Assumption teachers regarding prospective working together at Destiny Financial Plans Inc
today 7:30 am at McDo Antipolo in front of Unciano Hospital.  He and I have broached the idea of him being a senior manager at DFPI to handle operational
and marketing objectives, these fitting his strength and work experience

Marketing  -  to sell our Destiny via our own independent sales force, and via General Agency

Operational excellence  -  top rate and branded customer experience for the:

Chapel memorial care and services (funeral)     -  i uup ang Calamba at Pangasinan and work on other projects like La Union, Hamp (at possibly Taytay)

Cremation -    running it and marketing the same

Columbarium:   setting this up in chapel premises and lowering the cost further

Body crypts  -  in future memorial garden projects to serve DE and segments using latest technology;   lower COGs to P5k and lower to make this
                                                                                            worthwhile

We talked about the following:

1.  He will be asked to focus on Destiny Plans and service delivery of 3C (chapel crematorium and columbarium).  He report to me so lessen birthing pains
The C3 is our vision statement for the next 5 years.

He will be essentially starting from 0 because we do not have an organization for dfpi or c3.  This will require a visit of the SBUs C3 assets:  Pangasinan and Calamba so that
he can make an assessment and determine his objectives and commitment

2.  I made kuwento about our past experience with Tamondong, J Ibanez, and Bonnie Quenano who had previous job experience asked for  a high salary but were unable to deliver
This post faces the same question, risk analysis for the prospective employment

3.  After the assessessment, Engr Francisco can make a presentation to the board to justify the compensation he desires P70k

4.  The C3 will be tasked to do the following:

          Traditional products

          1.  Offer bundled service end to end:

               1.  Funeral Service +  Interment Service +  Plot  (though the documentation and account distribution being problematic)  to  all SEC classes; at need and pre need;
                    (companies involved:  SBU +  CMCS)

               2.  Body Crypts +  Funeral Service to  DE Sec   (SBU + CMCS or mortuary)

         Non traditional products

         1.  Direct  Cremation  only  P20k (commissionable) to DE and customers at need ( pre need in the future with OIC approval)

         2.  Social amelioration package  for the poorest of the poor as certified by DSWD mayor or vice mayor

                            P12 + 3K    (cremation + 3 years usufruct for ash crypts)

         3.  Value added cremation services:

                          service before cremation

                          cremation after service

We benchmark Philplans Heritage Cremation plans   Heritage Cremation Plans

4,  Memorial gardens   low priced body crypts  that are panelized to serve DE and market.

Pledge and prayer for excellence

PAGSASANAY SA TAGUMPAY

"  I  pray and will pledge and commit to be an achiever and accomplish something for the day, and at the end of the day review if such has been achieved

I and my co workers will support one another, work as a team and avoid activities inimical to the team.  We expect ourselves to be the best, to be confident of our individual and team capabilities.

Nothing should be less than the best for all our achievement"

October 15, 2013

On our beliefs: Excellence and Learning

Memorandum:

To        :   All CMOs and other chiefs

Subject:    Excellence and Learning

Background:

We know of the following:

1.  The one who reads leads;

2.  Based on the experience and story of Ramon Orosa at Citibank, he concluded that what differentiated the whites (the expats of Citibank) was not the color of the skin, or country of origin but KNOWLEDGE.

3.  There are 3 things that separate a manager and the common masses/followers:

      1.  Knowledge

       2. Leadership

       3.  Audacity

      If one has knowledge:

      1.  He occupies a high moral ground.  A knowledgeable person, a guru, a master has the respect of others

      2.  The one who knows can expand the capabilities of others because he can mentor and teach the student to grow and learn

      3.  The one who knows can help solve the problems of the subordinates.

But knowledge alone is insufficient.  We have academicians  who have achieved nothing because they lacked the leadership to make their knowledge known/done, and even the audacity

2.   Executives are knowledge workers;
According to Peter Drucker, executives are those who are knowledge workers, and who get things done through other people

    The starting point is knowledge.

And how do you execute:   by KISFREK  (Do you know what this is?  Find out)

3.  How do you acquire knowledge?

     1.  Reading:   blogs, books.  Read and discuss blogs daily on the am talk
     2. OLO  -  Observe Learn Observe, other peers,, or the industry.  You can be an expert in the industry by doing this.  Take down notes, analyze, summarize, take pictures and videos and learn.

     3.  Attend schools and seminars.  Life is a continuing education.

You can not learn from what you are doing alone.  These are routine tasks.  Learn from Masters of Ages (through the books)

4.  Personal Mastery

Related topic here is enthusiasm  which comes from Latin root word en (inside)  theos  (God is in you)  God inspires you because he is in you.

We should remember:   "Ang pambihirang araw na ito ay nilikha ng Diyos para sa iyo;  halina at magsaya"
It refers to your ability to get hold of your emotion, inspire yourself and inspire others, no matter how difficult the road/hindrances are.

     1.  Master yourself before you can master others.

      2.  Knowing yourself, knowing your enemy, 100 battles, 100 victories.

      3.  What  is IQ, EQ, and EI?

      Is your SBU agressively:

      1.  Pursuing Personal Mastery

      2.  Learning

      3.  Pursuing excellence

Let us read your reflections/reaction, response

THIS SEEMS TO BE A BIG CHALLENGE FOR EVERYONE.  THEIR ATTENTION ON THIS IS LACKING

I am sad that very few believe in learning and excellence

"Pag gusto, may paraan; pag ayaw, maraming dahilan " It is about getting better everyday.

Despite repeated proddings, emails and text messages, it is an uphill battle to convince people that it is about getting better.  There should be higher performance and lesser problems and frequent calls had people taken time and effort to learn and remember how to do things the right way.

Bouquet of Customer Service at Holy Gardens Memorial Park, featured at Slideshare

"Pag gusto, may paraan; pag ayaw, maraming alibis"

We have to review our customer service process from A to Z;  we have accumulated these since l983 (or 30 years) and we have been known for this type of transaction with the customer.  We have to keep this up, maintain and even be better than before.

Let us review and execute this always if we are to be top and if we are to perpetuate ourselves.

What do we treasure at Holy Gardens Memorial Park

TO       :   All

What do we treasure:

l.  Self discipline

We do things early, we do it now;  we do not postpone our schedules.  We do our jobs right the first time.

We improve daily.   It is about getting better.

It is about learning one new thing a day.

It is about communication:   clarifying what was told to be done, doing as told, and giviing feedback.  it cant be a cat and mouse game

We cant change the way we do things unless it has been approved SDCA or PDCA.

We cant do things without prior knowledge authorization of top management.  No justification or explanation cant justify non compliance.

      Insubordination is a capital offense.

We do what we say.  We keep our word.

THE SECRETS OF SUCCESS:   HARD WORK, HARD WORK HARD WORK.

                                                           KEEP YOUR WORD

2.  Customer service;

      Best interment:

      l.  We cant reduce merienda, thank you cards, balloons (unless it is very costly) tribute, or other features without express written authoirization (even  if the funeral parlors are doing it) We continue doing things we have started and where we are good at.

      2.  We cant charge additional charges/fees without written memos/orders.( as was the case with maintenance fees charged by a former MT)

      3.  We manage our interment fees well, we reimburse early to serve customers well.  We reimburse ASAP. We are honest;  we pay the correct amount and on time to the supplier.  No bulk orders for marker engraving

      4.  Plaisir:  appeal to the five senses for customer service.

       5.  Pay SPECIAL ATTENTION TO:

            DOCUMENTS

            INTERMENTS

ENTERTAINMENT/ENGAGING THE CUSTOMERS WHILE AT THE OFFICE

     6.  We have the marker on the day of the interments.

3.  EXCELLENCE

     1. Do it right the first time;

     2.  We keep on improving

     3.  Integrity.  We do not tolerate dishonest people/thieves in our midst (sorry for saying but that happenned recently)

4.  Beautifying the memorial park.  We cant sell the memorial park that is ugly.  That is why we have GT.  Let us call them Garden Beauticians.

Fwd: EXCELLENCE - TO BE THE BEST ALWAYS

What the mind can perceive the body can achieve.  So we must only think for the best, what is the BEST thing we can do with our job even on the smallest details of what we are doing we should think and act for the best and surely, best things will come to us as if we were using a magnet.

Mistaken Identity or Purely Mistakes?

As I edit the griefshare blog labels, I noted so many mistakes:   Grenhils, grnhlls, etc, plus so many names for the memorial park/sbu and I am wondering which is which now;  please help me determine the correct one:

Holy Gardens Greenhills Memorial Park:   Holy Gardens Greenhills, Holy Gardens Calamba Memorial Park,  Holy Gardens Memorial Park Calamba,

Holy Gardens La Union Memorial Park:    Holy Gardens Memorial Park La Union

Holy Gardens Pangasinan Memorial Park:   Holy Gardens Memorial Park Pangasinan

Holy Gardens Oton Memorial Park:   Holy Gardens Oton,  Holy Gardens Memorial Park Oton

Holy Gardens Calapan Memorial Park:   Holy Gardens Calapan, Holy Gardens Memorial Park Calapan

l.  Help me edit the labels as soon as possible.  Mistakes create new labels which  make it difficult to navigate labels;  these spurious labels find themselves into Google pages.

2.  Be careful in labelling;

3.  Please do not make the same mistake like putting comma after a day:   June 20, 2011.  So far we have so many 2011 label entries.

Again, with the mistakes galore:  does Holy Gardens Memorial Park have an identity crisis, mistaken identity or simply many people do not care about their mistakes?   Ano kaya?

PS:  Please compute for the age of Macaria Magaling;  her birthday or age could be wrong.  Is it 97?
