After suffering with many setbacks in 2018 that included low sales, low collection, incredibly slow execution, and difficult to teach move staff, 2019 promises to be a bright year for opportunities and new talents.

1. New Opportunities:

    1.  A new memorial park site in Region 1 (albeit near a river)

    2.  Chapel and cemetery site in front of the we have in Region 1

    3.  A JV site in Region 1V where a grant of right of  way would or soon be granted

    4.  Premium chapel soon to be erected in Region IV (where an 11 hectare expansion is going on.

    In addition an inaanak and former MBA student promised to look for me sites in Region I, and even
    in region I

2.  New resources:

Incredibly more experienced seasoned executives and professionals are joining us a younger unreliable people are leaving us, being unable to adapt to our culture and hard working results oriented environment (and sadly our system in shambles and lots of losses)


  1.  An architect well known, award winning happens pala to be a kababayan and has built quite a number of stunning mausoleum in Heritage Memorial Park, Loyola  and Manila Memorial Park.  My choice to make

 2.  Two gentlemen applied to be funeral directors who will run our  chapels and  crematorium sell columbarium and may formally join us this coming February and March

3.   Two possible general agencies who  will help us market Destiny Plans targetting tens of thousands in targets..

4.  A branch manager who used to work as a Loan Officer of a major Unibank

4.  An insurance executive in Makati whom I thought was joking would join our team as sales and training executive.

Objectives:  

1.  To encourage SBUs to promote deluxe interment services;

2.  To align with our mission statement:  "To remember our loved ones..... in a SPECIAL WAY"

3.  To be aligned with our business model:  ie to recover losses of P2,551 from a 60 months to pay

      0 interest, 0 dp plot;  we have higher sure GP on interment service (DLx to Lux)

4.  To encourage excellence in the tributes and have sbu post tributes promptly

5.  To have tributes that are superior to the slideshow of SPLP

Reality:

1. Many prefer avail of econo/basic interments;  less income for company (even losses)  and no additional

    income

2.  Our CSS are less than enthusiastic in posting/uploading tributes; (non posting or delayed posting)

     although there is P100.00 for deluxe and  and P200.00 for luxury videos

3.  There is much to be desired in the creativity and quality of the tributes

What to do:  implementation of the tribute contest;

What:     Coverage:  For the tributes passed in 2018:      April to October 15, 2018

Prizes:      P5,000 for first

                  3,000 for second

                  1,500 for third

                  provided that the minimum grade for the criteria is 75%

I attended a wake last night and the requiem mass that was said for her.  The deceased was a relative because her middle name and my surname were the same.

The priest said in his homily that her death reminds us of the resurrection that happen every day and in Judaic fashion that is happening  now and now during the Revelation.

We are reminded too of the daily miracles that happen to us;   it is not just the miracles that take place at Lourdes or during the life of Lord:    Note the following miracles:

1   The miracle of being alive;

2. The miracle of creating a business plan, a memo or a proposal, or a system

3.  The miracle of a doctor curing us of a disease

4.  Or an analgesic that removes pain  or an anti biotic that cures infection

5.  Inventions, gadgets:   say cellphones

Let us not overlook these miracles

What:   Upgrading the incentives for tributes uploading

           1.  An additional P50.00 shall be granted to the interment video that

               shall be taken and uploaded to the 3rd party sites (You tube, vimeo 

               etc) in addition to the P100.00 for de luxe tributes and P200.00 for Lux

              tribute

            2.  These shall be withheld if 4. 5. 6 are not complied with

           1.  The incentives shall be granted for and:  both video tributes and video

                 of interment shall be uploaded.

           

VIDEO CONTEST

           2.  Only those who twin videos are qualified to participate in the contest

           3.  The sbu must have a minimum of 10 video twins to qualify;

           4.  To qualify, the sbus shall be updated/current on the following:

                1. Kaizen postings

                2. Holy Gardens best 

                3.  IF and PPA

          5.  Video must be uploaded not later than 14 calendar days after the 

               event;

          6.  IF must be submitted within 7 calendar days after event; with proper

We should consider making our projects more pleasing to visitors.  We should make our construction green - ie help reduce global warming, cool building temperature by as much as 7 degrees centigrade.

Types:

        1.  Vertical gardens at side
        2.  Lawns and parks at rooftops
        3.  Plant boxes at the side

Our GT will play a great role in this effort.

Our parks should be parks rather than memorial parks (puntahan ng mga tao to cool off and enjoy)

Focus on Your Customer's Needs and you will get the sales that you want

The starting point of all sales, even supply chain management, product plan, sales efforts is the customer

The customer is the KING.  The CUSTOMER IS DIVINE.

So we must be always customer focused, not we or product, company focused

What do they want?   We make sure our product and service fits their need their requirement

Does this product/service meet your need/satisfy/delight you?

Sometimes we are misguided.  You have to sell because it is the sales target.  Your career

hangs on it.  So it becomes hard sell, forcing the product down the throat of the customer.

This is the eternal debate:   Can you build a better mousetrap and the customers will troop to your
door?  (Product  or company orientation.  This puts companies with big management ego at great risk for failure.  Many do)

Not true anymore:   the customer may not need this because there may be no more mouse, or better way to get rid of the mouse.  (Customer centric)

YOU HAVE TO FIND OUT WHAT THE CUSTOMER WANTS AND NEED AND GIVE IT TO THEM TO BUILD A BETTER BUSINESS. 

YOU HAVE TO KEEP ON REFINING YOUR BUSINESS AND YOUR SALES EFFORT SO THAT THEY CUSTOM FIT THE CUSTOMER WANTS AND NEEDS.

10 Ways to Master the Art of the Follow-Up When Prospecting

How to master the art of follow up.  Do this and level up your sales

There are 10 ways you can master following up with your prospect.

Each one of the techniques will have varying results based on the situation.  We can't expect all 10 to work for any single prospect. Rather, it's a process of using the right one or two techniques at the right time.

1. Send an email restating exactly what they shared with you and then ask them a question about what they said. By sending back to them a note with exactly what they said, you show not only that you listened, but also that you value what they say.

2. Send an email sharing one new piece of information about a key interest they have and ask them a question about it.

3. Send an email recapping the conversation you had by using brief bullet points and state what you will be doing as the next step. Conclude by asking them to share back with you if they're in agreement with what you wrote or if there are any changes.

4. Leave a voicemail stating a new piece of information you found and confirming the time you agreed to meet again.

5. Send a short 20-second video embedded into your email thanking them for talking with you and then recap one key point. End by stating what the next step is.

6. When you send an email to the person you met with, send it as reply to an earlier email conversation you had with the prospect.Continuing the string will help the prospect link back to you, because many times a "sales call" will wind up becoming nothing but blur within hours after it's over.

7. Send via the regular mail a handwritten note of thanks, followed by the next step you both agreed to do. (Yes! The regular mail still exists and is a great way for you to stand apart from your competition.)

8. Call the person shortly after the first call is over and ask them to explain a little more on something they shared with you. Making the call later the same day helps to create a sense of urgency and will be soon enough that the prospect will not have forgotten what they said.

9. Watch for key news about the prospect's company or interests they might have. When you see something, immediately call or email them with the news.

10. Send the person a PDF or a URL link with key information they would find of value and ask them a question or two about it. Ask them to get back to you with their thoughts. This approach is a great way to determine if the person is keenly interested in working with you.

This is simply a list of 10 ways to follow-up. There are many more, but the key is to do just that —  follow up!  Don't wait for the prospect to call you. Be proactive. Bring value. Make the connection.
