Goodbye millenials, welcome Phoenix generation

In the  mass today, the SVD priest celebrator welcomed in his homily the  Phoenix, the welcome and fresh replacement for the millenials who are selfish and lives in culture entitlement

Welcome the Phoenix generation, the true hope of the future generation who are generous, who are connected, who are compassionate. who will  BE THE SLAVE OF ALL. They will reinvent the  society

That is why I term this new generation thePhoenix Generation as they will rise from the ashes of our old social systems. Many of today's youth, fragmented into delinquents and forward-thinking progressives, will appear largely ineffectual just as the old system now crumbling appears to us to be hierarchical, hypocritical, and stultifying. The "phoenix generation" will refuse to accept the belief systems dogmatically maintained by current societies; they will exhibit a frame of reference beyond the box that has been stifling us to date. The "phoenix generation" will have an altered perspective and set of perceptions. They won't adapt to change -- they will be born as change. They are the fully-wired change agents needed to bring the new social structures into being. They will also represent the new thinking -- the new consciousness -- that will signify our new global societies.




     This jives well with the Gospel today of Mark:10:35 - 45

The Request of James and John

35 And James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came up to him and said to him, “Teacher, we want you to do for us whatever we ask of you.”36 And he said to them, “What do you want me to do for you?” 37 And they said to him, “Grant us to sit, one at your right hand and one at your left, in your glory.” 38 Jesus said to them, “You do not know what you are asking. Are you able to drink the cup that I drink, or to be baptized with the baptism with which I am baptized?” 39 And they said to him, “We are able.” And Jesus said to them, “The cup that I drinkyou will drink, and with the baptism with which I am baptized, you will be baptized, 40 but to sit at my right hand or at my left is not mine to grant, but it is for those for whom it has been prepared.” 41 And when the ten heard it, they began to be indignant at James and John. 42 And Jesus called them to him and said to them, “You know that those who are considered rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them. 43 But it shall not be so among you. Reflection

1.  This is the basis of Servant Leadership:  the first shall be last and the last shall be first;

2.  The leaders eat last they say.

3.  It is important that in sales we submit ourselves before the  customers.  And the good beginning sentence;   "How can/May I help you?"

      Truly in our  mission statement and beliefs statements, we commit ourselves to be in the service

       of others.   To provide jobs and employment; to be of service to the customers, to benefit the

       community where we run the business  (# 3 principles)

      We can sell more and we can be enthusiastic in our job if we have this in our mindset
