Review reemphasis on 5s, COBS

Subject:     KEEPING OUR WORKPLACES (Gemba -  office and site) CLEAN

What:   Reemphasis, revival  of 5s and keeping our workplaces clean:   COBS

Objective:

          1.  To make sites and office clean and beautiful to attract more prospects and buyers
          2.  Revival and sustaining quality revolution
          3..   Achieve longevity and lesser repair of FFE

Background:

1.   This is related to Feng Shui:

      1.  Dirty environment does augur well for a business:
      2.  Businessmen must take care/ love their business sites because it the source of their livelihood

2.  Starting a quality revolution -  it starts with visible signs of quality - CLEANLINESS
     SIRVIC

3.   5s as a major component of  Japanese quality system -  the lead cause  of their success
      towards their product  and economic superiority :  seiri, seiton, seiso, seiketsu, shitsuke

4.  The business office factory is our home;   we spend most of our waking hours there.
      Its appearance is a reflection of our personality and  the team -  are we dirty, disorganized,
      burs?

5.   CLAY GO -   clean as you go.    Every one has a responsibility in keeping the work place clean:

           1.   Pick up trash you see along the way in entering office  (its not happening?)
           2.  Clean wash your own dish, drinking glass
           3.  Take turns in sweeping floors and disposal of trash.  
           4   GT and TS must clean FFE assigned to them;  vehicles must not be allowed 
                 to stay dirty overnight (happening in HAMP -   Joy please take note

6.   Part of our our name -  HOLY GARDENS.  What is so Holy i the park is dirty?
       What is so gardens about it if the grasses are tall?  If the grasses have been burned?
        If the trash cans are full?  IF CR is smelly

7.  Plaisir -  we go beyond the  cleanliness alone.   We seek things that appeal to the 5
     senses:   touch  (are the texture of walls and other building parts rough or dangerous, can             cause injury)  smell (do you have air freshener, or are your furniture moldy?  Are there
       moldy smelly food in your office, or does it smell of  patis or bagoong or your GT and TS             putok)) hearing -  are you office staff boisterous and gossiping during working hours) sight -      are there flowers;painting in our office are your staff wearing beard or moustache) 
      are there trash and dust on the floor, are your office staff wearing
       uniform)  hearing -   are your office equipment AC noisy and malfunctioning

8.  CR - do you  have regular cleaning and washing  of your CR?  Do you have checklist of
     things to do in the CR daily?   Is there somebody assigned to CR cleaning?

    N.B.  The customer has full 3-5 minutes ot observe the inner workings of your SBU-
              the discipline the attention given by the management in taking care of its
              facilities and customers.

              WE HAVE TO UPGRADE OUR CR FACILITIES.   This should be  project by GCH
              supported by Management  (Attn:   GCH)

        O -rderliness
        B -eauty
        S - erenity

      This was old acronym for us to observe.   Let us memorize and do.
