The two guest who were invited for the cremation marketing plan presentation workshop:   Ms. Rocel Carino of Holy Gardens La Union, and Ms. Armida Christine Barlaan arrived early (past six only) although they did not comply with the procedure on texting whereabouts as they travel.

We discussed the following:

1. Communication. The community blog has been renamed Holy Gardens communication to be more specific that it is for communication.

Those who do not read the blogs, answer email and texts would be severely affected by this on their PE and therefore salary increases and availment of allowances

Dying Love to Know

   Since 1883 the Roman Catholic Church banned cremation as a reaction to moves by rival religion to fight the RCC. In 1966, the ban was relaxed and incorporated in an edict of the Canon Law in l983

   There is an increasing popularity of cremation as an accepted burial practice because:

    1. Scarcity of land burial grounds; hence are more expensive

    2.  High cost of transporting cadaver from place to place.   Many people are mobile and sometimes they die far away from relatives or place where they want to be buried.   Transporting cadaver cost as much as $5,000 by plane.  So they have bodies cremated and ash remains sent home.  Much cheaper

   3.  High cost of traditional burial.   A direct cremation would cost only about P20,000 vs traditional burial of P100,000 that would involve memorial plots, service and casket

Communications as an important factor in performance evaluation

1.  In many team building exercises I have observed, I have observed that when teams were handicapped (resources were removed), it was not the lack of time nor resources (materials) that mattered most -  it was when people were not allowed to talk (communications shut down)  THEREFORE COMMUNICATIONS MATTER IN AN ORGANIZATION

2.  For sometime, we were supposed to be doing Performance evaluation and this did not continue because of apparent disregard to the quidelines and factors being graded:    book report, journals and communication.

3.  Communications has 10% weight:

     2%   -   answering text and emails

     4%  -  blog posts  (kaizen, best pictures, griefshares, FOFF)

     4%  -  comments at blogs

You must make 100% blogposts for your sbu to collectively  get 4% on blogposts,

You as an individual must make at least 30 comments in a quarter to qualify for blog comments.

4.  You must get a grade 90% to get promoted one step higher:

    If you get promoted to R2, you get:

    P800 salary increase   plus

    P1,000 monthly grocery reimbursement

   If you get promoted to R3, you get

    additional P800 salary increase plus

    P500 monthly electricity reimbursement

   If you get zero or fail to get full points here you lose P1,800 if you do not get promoted to R2, or P21,600 annually.

  If you do not get promoted to R3, you lose P800 + P500.00 reimbursement or P1,300 per month  or P15,600 annually

all because you are miss in:

   1. answering text and emails
   2.  blogposts
   3.  blogreads

   Small sins of omissions, big consequences and losses.  Because of a nail, a building was lost, because of horseshoe, a horse was lost, because of 7 bolts 400 lives, a 747 and $400 miliion was lost?

Source of funds for salary increase

I suggest that we finalize the leveled up salary scale for implementation by 
February 15, 2016

The sources for the increase shall be funded by:

1.  Price increase nationwide of 3% on lots by March 1, 2016.  This increase could be leveraged.   Another 3% by November 5, 2016

2.  No more regular interments;  suggest BC instead.
Interment fee shall be increased by 5% by February 15, 2016

2.  Higher sales targtet

provided that the concerned SBU shall have a submitted and  approved marketing plan at least.

We have been doing this for quite a time.  And Calamba is not complying.  I have not seen any post from Calamba.  What can you do?  This is tied up with performance evaluation, therefore salary increase.  You must comply if you want to move up.

SBU post Kaizen  at Holy Gardens community. and Holy Gardens Group site but they DO NOT COMPLY WITH THE REQUIRED PHOTOS TO BE POSTED.  Thus we do not see the deficiency at the SBU  LET US OBEY AND COMPLY.

Revision of the outright commission policy

Subject:    Revision, upgrading of policy on outright commission,  commission for internal staff.  

1.  Outright commission

      Objectives:

      1.  To prevent losses from collection

      2. To order our processes and stick to the imprest system

    Reality:

    There were anomalies committed in the granting of outright commission.  Some former staff exploited this to commit theft of our collection

    This liberal granting of commissions did not produce the desired results:

     1.  More sales
     2.  Prompt processing of ppa

WTDN:

   1, The outright commission shall cease to be taken away from the collection;  the collection shall be deposited intact; 

   2.   The "outright commission" shall be taken from a Commission fund whose size maybe range from P30 to P50t depending on the season or timing or marketing campaign;

   3. Only duly accredited sellers with SEAD shall be entitled to outright commission;   Those without SEAD will be paid their com via checks using the regular AP mode

   4.   The process of paying outright commission from Cash Fund of commission;

         The sellers shall acknowledge the receipt of the com on a prenumbered CV:
with the following supporting docs:

        1.  deposit slip of the transaction
        2.   the copy of the PPA (probably orig) for approval by 3ffb Senior Officer
        3.  Copy of the PR or OR

    5.   The PC shall be replenished using the above 3 as supporting docs when the balance of the Commission Fund reaches 30% level

    6. Com for GE SSN and GL shall be paid via check.  3ffb AP (and presumably we have separate AP for other voluminous transactions (like IMP, and com.) shall pay the com in 7 days upon receipt of complete docs for COM

    7. All outright com and all other com are subject to BIR regulations, ie wt of 10% shall be deducted.  Proper instructions to the SBU staff shall be made.   

2.  Com for office staff:

     No com shall be granted to office staff (staff and officers) so as not to piss off sellers.

    Only prizes or ORC can be granted so as to preclude anomaly in outright com for office staff.  

     No further com for
