It is important that a company has a culture. A culture can control a company the hearts and minds of its people that no reports or system can. The way of doing things, the habits of the organization takes precedence over all other things. However we have to balance that by learning, because otherwise the company becomes static and old. A company can reinvent itself by these core values:
We can build that culture by education training and building a culture of learning. Thus we encourage our staff to be computer literate, we hire computer literate people and we strive to be paperless and to work via computer. We have bought books to encourage reading and learning
We want to build a company that IS EXCELLENT, THAT GIVES EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE IS A LEARNING ORGANIZATION AND IS OPEN TO CHANGE.

We cant change if we do not learn a new thing
The top management invokes, enjoins every one to embrace that be our disciples and apostles and spread that to our customers and SBUs.
1. Take note that SBUS are not our subordinates BPI is a management services group; we are here to serve the SBUs and make their business easier. Think about that on how we have behaved in the past.
2. Majorem Lending is an SBU in the business of lending. We are structured in a way that is matrix. There is a line function that directs employee to have revenues and serve customers. There is an accounting staff that is in matrix with accounting.

We should focus what clients complain and concerns to be effective and excellent in our services. Avoid "maniana habit", which are laziness, doing something out of our job, making decisions or promises by our self without informing head office if it is policy or not. We must be careful, be specific and intelligent the way in explaining the product and policies by reading contract before client signing the contract. Listen and action is must.
