Reflection:

When Adam and Eve disobeyed God by eating the forbidden fruit:
"His words did include correction and consequence (vv. 13–19). But God also showed them kindness and gave them hope for mankind in the promise of the Savior (v. 15)."
God told them about their wrongdoing as well as the consequences but He did not criticize them. Instead, He even showed them kindness and gave hope for salvation.

A personal experience for everyone is with our parents. There are times when our parents scolds us for going home late or for doing something wrong but we all know that they are only concern for us and that they don't want us to be in danger or be in the wrong path. God is also concern for us and wants us to be in the right path. The bible also stands as our guideline as to how to live morally, same as our handbook. God wants to guide us for us to be with Him.
"I want my son to listen to my voice because I’m concerned about his well-being and do not want him to get hurt."
Today's Our Daily Bread reminds us that we must be a good follower in order for us to live in the right path and be saved. Likewise in the office, we also need to be a good follower and be obedient because it is all for our own good. We all know that nobody's perfect and we all make mistakes. There are times when we just want to hear what we want to hear and we don't want to be corrected. But we need to accept our mistakes and accept that we are wrong because this is where self-actualization begins and where we can start to appreciate life. There may be times where we are being corrected by our parents, friends, subordinates and superiors but we must remember that at the end of the day, it is going to be our guidelines to do even better the next time.
"When God calls, we need to answer."
Lastly, Our Daily Bread brought in to our attention the communication wherein we need to answer when being called. We need to listen for us to be guided accordingly. God is always with us, waiting for our call. We just need to call him, tell him everything, listen to him and appreciate him and ask for his blessings. It is all for us. We also realized that it is the same in the office environment. Communication is important.
"He wants to speak to our hearts and bring us forgiveness and restoration. He longs for us to hear His voice—and to listen. "

Thank You, Lord, for Your love and care. Thank You for sending Your Son, our Savior,
to fulfill Your promise of forgiveness and restoration.
