Day 3   Pop Sheet   Professionalism
Professionalism is correct behavior and appearance of somebody who does a particular employment displaying proper voice language communication.   He uses decent language is is not rough in his behavior  is  respectful and practices good etiquette

A professional practices good time management is goal oriented, knows his job, is competent, and strives to improve himself always.   He will possess the latest information on his chosen field.

    1.  Time management
He schedules his work,  He keeps his appointment and is not late
          for his appointments
    2.  7 habits of highly successful person by Stephen Covey

        1.  Sharpen the saw
        2.  First things first
        3.  Understand and then to be understood
        4.  Begin with the end in mind
        5.  Win win
        6.  Synergize
        7.  Put first things first
     3.   Communication   answering cp, text messages avoiding gossips    4.  Leadership and management - the staff must distinguish the difference        Management is systematic arrangement and running of things.  It is about work scheduling and getting things done        Leadership is about motivating, influencing others.  This facilitates management   5.  Entrepreneurial management is getting things done for less.   It is being resourceful.   It is not asking for more and more budget may to finish the task  Staffers coming from  large companies seek overtime more staff to finish the task..         6.  Work scheduling  -  he knows how to schedule his own work and that of others.   He values his time and that of others   7. Etiquette and protocol        There are proper ways of addressing guests, or business partners, customers:   how to be  seated, exchange pleasantries, treatment of the genders, sending and receiving invitations. In the office it is about dealing with the boss. You dont wound the king or make others look stupid especially your boss.  You do not take credit for the work of others.  There are certain no nos in behavior or must do.   Like asking for salary at the beginning of job interview, or without having mentioned your value to the organization    8.  To be considered a professional, you must thoroughly know your job and be trained properly.  The Toyota way has pioneered on how to make a good job description which they termed admin plan.  It contains the tasks, the details of how it is done, its standards (key points) and required outputs.  Each staff is required to master his job and submit a reflection of his/her understanding.  The incumbent is judged on his ability to meet the standards of the admin plan, ie understanding it 100% Management frowns upon unethical behavior as gossips, stabbing on the back, ranting at social media or elsewhere to express disagreements with management decisions and direction.   Conflicts of interest, business within the business is not allowed.  The employee must read and consult handbook on office etiquette, and code of ethics    9.   The goals of the organization is farmed out to the members of the organization and subgoals are assigned to the staff.  The staff is required to submit a report on the outputs as per his accomplishment of work schedule/job order.  A note is made on whether the job/task is done or not or the output produced .   A grade is given accordingly which is the basis of performance evaluation for regularization, salary increase.  No other method is used for salary increase.  No output, no learning no salary increase 10.  The value given to the job and competence depends on the mission of the company.  Eg.  in a war society, soldiers are judged on their ability to kill enemies or sow destruction.  In a  memorial company, it is empathy to  the customer  and knowledge of various ways to honor their loved ones 11.  Our products and services are sold in a missionary way, and this calls for a strong culture belief in the company and the product we sell.   Loyalty and strong belief in the organization is required.
