Orientation Pop Sheet Number 1 Day 1

We are providing the pop sheet to guide the trainees remember the key points about the orientation,  and probably guide him/her in the exam

                             POP SHEET NUMBER 1 DAY 1

1.   The vision statement tells of the picture/ambition of the company in the near and distant future.  We said we will be in the following businesses:    columbarium, crematorium and chapel services.    (3cs)   Memorial business will shift towards crematorium and columbarium (ash crypts) because of scarce land and strict regulatory and legal environment.

2.  The mission statement tells us how we conduct business.   We want to remember our loved ones in special place in a special way.  Special place means that the memorial park has to be well landscaped and clean and with superior facilities.  Nice and clean appearance.   The interment, which shall be remarkable and unique is the goal of every one.    The interment compared to what others used to know, must be happy as in Jews Jubilee.

The company aims to provide jobs and employment.   Its approach is entrepreneurial, namely providing valuable services and new products, with little or no resources

3.  Our beliefs are customer service, excellence, learning and change. The beliefs are our value system in conducting our business, and that defines our priorities

4  Our business is not real estate but memorialization.  Memorialization is honoring the memories and life of a loved one. through physical and assets like plots and markers.   But also through tributes, obits, videos posted at social media - death and birthdate remembrance.  

We have an elaborate interment service and we have a checklist to make sure they are carried out well.    In the pursuit of jubiliee we made and lead in the  following:

        Death notices -- from pall (black ribbons and cloth band) to tarp
        Music during interment
        Balloon release

We honor the loved ones not because they died but because they lived

5.  Our group of products:

     Assets     plots and ash crypts

     Services:   interment service
                       funeral service
                       cremation service

    We have funeral services at Calamba, Pangasinan and Morog.

    We have crematorium at Calamba Pangasinan (albeit inoperational yet)

6.  History

     The company was founded on February 1,1983 as Unisun Development Company as a developer of memorial parks and subdivisions.   The Chairman then was Teresita Saguinsin and the Chief Implementor was Jorge Saguinsin
The company was able to develop 11 subdivisions an 11 memorial parks 11 commercial complex, financing companies, water company, and a foundation
The company with the help of young and ambitious team was able to do this without loans and subsidies

7.  Code of conduct  and discipline ethics and etiquette

     CCD -  defines the correct behavior for every worker especially the rank and file.    It is meant to define right and wrong behavior as a guide for everyone. 

    Code of ethics - defines the correct behavior for officers and is very strong on correct procedures and ethical behavior.  Is very strong on stewardship, care of assets, Conflict of Interest

    Etiquette -  this a list of dos and donts at the office

8.  Organization

     The organization of Holy Gardens Group is matrix.  The line organization is at the provinces and headed by Chief Marketing Officer (or in charge) whose primary job is to maintain the product (site) and sell the plots and services.  

    The staff at the sbus (as they are called Single Business Units since each one has their own corporation) are:    Sbu Financial Controller (accounting)   CSS 1 -  Marketing Director and CSS 2 -  Funeral Director,  several Garden Technicians (Gardener) and Transportation Specialist (Driver)   The GT and TS are in charge of chattel assets of the SBU and responsible for their maintenance.   Interment is carried out by Interment Service Group and vault is manufactured by a vault contractor.  Security which is the requirement of the law (Sanitation code)  is through a security agency

    We expect and or demand from our staff:  cooperation, compliance (obedience) clear and constant communication.  Excellence

     The staff services is provided by BPI, Bereavement Providers Inc.   which consist of HR, Administrative, Records and Accounting

15.   Behavior towards the mission

       Spiritu -   belief that God is in us.  (enthusiasm)   En theos;  that because
                       God is in us, we can do anything.  

       Corde -  doing things even when no one is looking

       Practice -  courage to the do the right thing in face of adversity of wrong
                        behavior

16. Importance of communication

     Keeps the organization together.  Promotes understanding and action

    Not only the physical means:   cp, the apps, the email and cp.  It is the desire to communicate that counts

17.  Importance of business in the society

      Pays wages, taxes, and promotes money velocity in the community.  The multiplication factor of benefits in a society is 10x the amount invested. No business, no employment, no taxes, no progress.   The govt directs and provides peace and order the private sector creates the business
