ESSAY RE What Matters Most?-What makes inflatable penguins stand?

"I listen and I forget, I see and remember, I experience and I understand" - a Chinese proverb To : Sir Jorge U. Saguinsin From : Rhodora M. Garcia Subject : ESSAY RE What Matters Most?-What makes inflatable penguins stand? ====================================================================================== The inflatable penguin toys along the road are indeed amusing to both children and adults. Knowing from the vendor what makes inflatable penguins stand makes us realize that the creation of it is just amazing. There can be several reflections about SAND. Jesus even warned that everyone who hears His words and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand (Matthew 7:26). It implies that building a house on sand is not a good foundation, it can easily collapse. However, it amazes me when I think about the steadfast love of God because it is more than the grains of sand as His word says in Psalm 139: 17-18, “How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand — when I awake, I am still with you.” The inflatable penguin toys along the road are made of plastic that needs a light content that will make it stand even when the wind blows. The sand inside makes it stand and be able to move easily by the wind and yet it doesn’t fall down. In the same way, what’s inside me gives me the courage to face every difficulties in my daily life. If I were an inflatable penguin toy, it would be a great privilege when I am bought with a suitable price by a kind and concern customer who will truly take care of me to avoid a harmful pointed objects that can destroy me and if I were to view the sand inside the inflatable penguin toys, this is not enough compared to the precious thoughts and steadfast love of God towards me. What makes a person stand in his daily life is the right and proper content of his heart. What you are made of, knowing your value makes you distinguish what you should put inside. A proper input makes a proper output. Thus, as the inflatable penguin toys stand even when the wind blows, “I will no longer be an infant, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming"(Ephesians 4:14). I will stand still even when the wind blows. Rhodora M. Garcia CSS
