Background;

1.  Time is the most precious resource of the company:

      Time is gold

      Time lost is lost forever.

      Time not money, men, nor machinery.  You can recover, buy, purchase some of them or even borrow. But not time

      Being the first to the market is the most important trait of leading companies; not superior leadership, or talent or technology.  Being first is.

     It is either you are quick or you are dead

    AND YET WE SEE PEOPLE WHO ARE LATE PEOPLE ARE HABITUALLY ABSENT FOR WORK, PEOPLE NOT MEETING DEADLINES EVEN FOR IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS AND EVEN DAILY REPORTS

We have had important reminders and policy on this even at CCD regarding the topic

1.  Reporting for work

    All staff are encouraged to come earlier than appointed time of 8:00 so that AM talk PE are conducted before hand.  We hit the ground running at the appointed time.  This is an important job to do to get used to being on time.  Always come before time, even for an appointment

   You are always on the defensive if you report to a meeting or conference late

2. 8:15 is the limit that you are not considered late

    8:30, you are considered absent and will be sent home

    You cant have half day first half of the day;  you will be requested to go home.  Early morning is the busiest time of the day when customers, applicants, staff call and ask for assistance.

3.  Excessive tardiness is subject to CCD

4.  CCD is imposed on those who do not submit reports promptly, and for those who do not meet deadlines;   NOT SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACT AND DEPOSIT SLIPS IS A CLASS D OFFENSE


SEVERE PENALTIES ARE IMPOSED BY GOVERNMENT AGENCIES FOR LATE REPORTS AND SUBMISSIONS (AND EVEN CONSIDERED AS CRIMINAL OFFENSE)   Getting used to being tardy always does not help us get away from that rut

    For you to be on time, you must work hard, work hard, work hard

5.  For all, you are encouraged to sleep early, have alarms, have planners and organizers.  Finish your work early and go home early

6. Be lean and results oriented.  Finish your job asap and then relax.

Attendance:

For trainees:

1.  You have to complete 100% attendance during the rating period of say 90 days for R1.   The trainees manifested that they are fit for work and thus must be able to show they are reliable and trustworthy with perfect attendance.

2.  During contest times, a requirement is made that there must be 97% attendance to win the prize.  It is presumed that the goal was reached because the incumbent was there.  This rule encourages teamwork and unity.

3.  Trainees are encouraged/enjoined to have a planner

NOTHING IN THE WORLD GETS DONE WITHOUT PERSEVERANCE, HARD   WORK AND BEING THERE FIRST  (Being early and punctual)

Punctuality is the mother of all good traits and behavior and first indicator of discipline, which is a necessary ingredient for success
