Quotes from Anthony Bourdain

Gawin nating July ay innovation month..

----------

Although Anthony Bourdain's death by suicide is frowned upon by many, he left a number of nuggets of wisdom for us to ponder and adopt.  He left legacies

Most notable are:

5. "Skills can be taught. Character you either have or you don't have."   -  No amount of training can change or improve untrainable individuals.  Filter them out early on

7. "Assume the worst. About everybody. But don't let this poisoned outlook affect your job performance. Let it all roll off your back. Ignore it. Be amused by what you see and suspect. Just because someone you work with is a miserable, treacherous, self-serving, capricious, and corrupt asshole shouldn't prevent you from enjoying their company, working with them, or finding them entertaining."

Be positive and look for things that are noteworthy or entertaining in your co workers who are assholes.

9. "As you move through this life and this world you change things slightly, you leave marks behind, however small. And in return, life -- and travel -- leaves marks on you. Most of the time, those marks -- on your body or on your heart -- are beautiful. Often, though, they hurt."

In our own little way, we are leaders. We influence others  by what we do and say. That way we leave our marks.   We help others leave their marks through tributes and memorial services at our memorial park

Need for innovation/kaizen

15. "Without experimentation, a willingness to ask questions and try new things, we shall surely become static, repetitive, and moribund."

Sunnao, empty your cup, search for the Parts Unknown. We search for the better as we improve ourselves
