Some important lessons today: our home, and magic words: thank you, I am sorry and I love you

In today's wedding of Mam Madel, the  priest who officiated the wedding mentioned two important things in his homily.

1.  Our home.   A child  left his slippers at the doorstep of a church as he was saying the mass.  And when he asked the child who left the slipper at the doorstep why he/she left the  slipper, she/he said that the church is a home.

       Important lesson:

      1.  That the church is a home and as a home we respect it.  We leave our slippers to keep this clean.

How about our office, do we keep it clean?  How about our park? Do we observe 5s?  Yes or no.
If yes, that is OK, if no, why?  It is not only a home but a source of our livelihood, our daily bread.

     2.  Training and upbringing -   We keep our house clean and orderly because as children, we were
trained to keep it that way.  So discipline is important after all in spiritual and religious life?

    3.  A mirror, a reflection of his/her personality.  That little action mirrored the deep belief of the child
in the church though how young.  As adults, do we exhibit the same degree of faith.

Pananam   ...taya (it is taking a risk, while we are savoring - ninamnam ang experience...

2.   3 important words to keep our relationship alive and dynamic. (Even in relationship with our customers
      and colleagues.

      1.  Please  -  we should be courteous as we order or influence others to act

     2.  Thank you. -  Gratitude for our blessings and favors done for us.

     3.  I am sorry - for sins of commission and omission.  Do we?  We repeat the same mistake in
communication, customer service, execution, observance of processes.  Some people say
they are sorry but commit the same mistake.

Also the ability to say I love you -  to our job, to our colleagues to our customers and those who have
lesser in life.  Our life would be more meaningful, our jobs if we have passion.  Rather than hate or
      indifferencce

  1. Thanks for this wonderful post. Our home is the mirror of our personality. What our training and upbringing in home will reflect our personality wherever we goes. Discipline and behaviors in our home what matter most so so that when we get old we will not depart from it.
