Build a Boma
National Geographic's Big Cats Initiative
Save a Lion. Build a Boma.
When lions attack livestock, it threatens the livelihood of the whole community. As a result, communities often retaliate by killing lions. We can protect big cats by protecting livestock. Bomas (livestock enclosures) are a simple solution for a big problem. National Geographic Big Cats Initiative grantees are working with communities in Kenya and Tanzania to build bomas, but they need our help.
