Focus and attention from Brain Games - Nat Geo
From Nat Geo - brain games
Focus and attention are important in communication. We have to really do this since we have limited attention span and brain power. Our brain is only powered by 12 watts.
Multi tasking really is not true. We cant do the same thing at the same time. It is more of doing things serially.
Diversion is the tool of the magician or the pick pocket to make you lose your attention and lose your things or get fooled.

Understanding attention helps us identify problems with multi-tasking and allows us the opportunity to set up an optimal learning environment. We can only focus attention on one task at a time. Trying to multi-task, such as studying and watching TV simultaneously, leads to a decrease in . performance on each task. Focus and attention can be achieved thru daily practice and training...self development. from: CC of HGGMP
ReplyDeleteHaving focus means planning your work it does not doing more than one thing at the same time. If you do the most people concept of multi tasking you will end up of no accomplishment. We need to maximize the 20;80 rule meaning really set aside 20% of our time to the core objective.
