Hi,
If whales could talk, what tales would they tell?
Share your caption for the photo above, and you could be this month's
Caption This photo contest winner.
If your entry is selected,
your caption will be shared with National Geographic supporters in our next Caption This email.
It's easy to enter. Simply submit your caption before our midnight, October 31 deadline. Only one entry per person please.
National Geographic Photographer Brian Skerry specializes in capturing marine wildlife deep in their watery habitats like in the image above.
It's the mystery of the ocean that draws him back again and again. As he explains,
"Every time I go into the water I don't know what I'll find. And always I return amazed at the animals that let me into their world."
Brian hopes that his images inspire viewers to better protect the animals he photographs, and by doing so, help ensure our ocean's healthy future.
Now, it's your turn to add a caption to this terrific photo.
There are no limits to what direction your caption can take. Take a wholly original approach and you just might be our winner.
Generous National Geographic supporters make it possible for our scientists, explorers, and photographers to explore some of the world's most remote environments and share their discoveries with you.
Sincerely,
Sarah Stallings
Director, Annual Giving
