Days Orientation of New Hires/Trainees
3rd ED
What: This is the amended syllabus for the orientation of new hires and trainees
All staff including the officers must undergo and pass this orientation.
Passing this orientations is a requirement for:
1. Grant of allowances
2. Promotion and salary increases
Goals:
1. To promote unity, discipline, passion among the trainees
2. To lessen turn over, cases of insubordination and other misconduct
in the organization
3. To develop staff who will be professional, productive, personally improving, aware of the processes, and are aware of business practices/principles
4. To promote efficiency and effectiveness among staff
Reality:
1. Frequent cases of miscommunication, lack of miscommunication, distortion
of communication (dagdag bawas) and chismis
2. Frequent alibis inaction, insubordination among new staff: non posting at blog
non answering of emails, texts
3. While we say our human resource are our greatest resources: many lack the discipline the determination and dedication to work with us as a team and hence become expenses and deadweight to the organization. Lack of proper training and orientation.
4. Many when asked about learnings in supposedly taken in this orientation deny having encountered such concepts/ideas that they signed/acknolwedged as having been taken up during orientation
Hence this revision of syllabus for orientation
Instructions:
1. Each trainee is given a copy of this syllabus either in soft or hard copy form. This is the guideline for the orientation. The trainee acknowledges each topic as having been taken up as they happen. This document is the basis for the issuance of Certificate of Training which is the basis for future salary increases
2. The trainees are given achievement exams/and exercises each day or periodically. Passing grade is 75%. The trainee MUST FINISH THE EXAMS AND SUBMIT THE REQUIRED OUTPUTS ON TIME. The delayed and non submission shall be a ground for the termination of the orientation and discontinuance of the proposed employment
3. No late or absence. Just one event is a cause of stoppage from further attendance in this orientation
4. Proper decorum: attire, behavior: courtesy and respect, focus, obedience.
Again as in 2 and 3, insubordination and disrespect can be a ground ofdismissal from this training
5 The participants in this orientation are deemed to have submitted prior to this
orientation date start their requirements: transcript, health certificate that they
are fit to work, certificates of employment from previous employer, references,
and Background Investigation
As a final precondition, no one shall be allowed to start the employment until
such employee has been issued certificate of training, (passed this training)
submitted all the requirements. Officers are not exempt from this training
6. Expenses and training allowance
1. Training allowance of xxx amount shall be granted to the participant
upon being evaluated to be at the next salary level
2. The company shoulders the board and lodging of the participant during the
6 days orientation
3. The company reimburses the transportation expenses incurred upon
completion of the training, and start of employment with the company.
7. Training assessment:
1. The trainee must participate in all the activities and submit required out
puts as in team building, vision board and tribute
2. The passing grade is 75%. The trainee either parts out or repeats
if he/she does not pass
Syllabus:
Day 1 Welcome, company history and products: tour of cemetery
and HAMP PM
2. Personal Mastery: attitude, discipline, CCD the secret, positive
mental attitude, leadership, words to avoid, time management
habits of successful person, secrets of success
observation of SAA work
3. Professionalism: office etiquette, execution, communication
organizational chart, matrix management, making memos
FAR, phone ethics, answering text emails, writing memos, the GROW memo, writing PDCA, customer service,
observation of Acctg Treasury work
4. Productivity and Profitability: Efficiency, effectiveness,
Using an organizer, work, work scheduling, management,
sales - cost = gp, 5s, quality, TPM, (cost/expense reduction)
5. Process- Process flow, MC Admin Plans (Responsibilities, Tasks,
Outputs, Standards) Use of portals, abstracts
6. Working on projects, presentation Graduation, panunumpa
Detailed syllabus: contains: Trainor objectives, activities, resources learning assessment: (activities or exams)
Day 1: Assembly and introduction.
The trainees must come on or before 7:30. in proper office attire. (They should have been billeted the day before) The 3f staff must likewise come early before 730 to set good examples. The trainees must be welcomed and given
temporary id and/or name tag.
Breakfast 7:30 to 800 (company supplied)
Start 8:00 am
1. Prayer (Josh Groban or Celine Dion)
2. Pambansang Awit ng Pilipinas
3. Self Introduction 8:00 to 9:00
Purpose: to get acquainted with other trainees, to sharpen memories
Mention your name status, address, what you took up, former job
your five year plan, and expectations from the training.
The next one mentions the name of the previous speaker and then
mentions the above about himself/herself and the cycle completed (ie
all the names of all trainees are mentione and recalled by everyone
