How to increase the likes of Fan Pages by making your visitors like the Page before they can see content.

You can make your FB fan page (which we have) for the Holy Gardens group and the others SBU increase its leverage by making more people like it.  Instead of making its contents free.  Here is how to do this:

  1. Install an app that allows you to place custom HTML onto your page. Several apps that do this are available; all have relatively similar feature sets. Find them through Facebook's Apps page. Alternatively, if you have the knowledge to code your own app, you can upload and install it on your own Facebook page.
  2. Open the HTML editor provided by your app and create two "<div>" sections. One will be for those who "like" your page; the other is for those who don't.
  3. Enter the tag "<fb:visible-to-connection>" under the div for those who do "like" your page. In this section you can also include any other HTML that you want to be visible to those who "like" your page.
  4. Enter the tag "<fb:else>" under the div for those who have not yet clicked your "like" button. Also include either an image or a link in this div for the person to easily "like" your page and therefore gain access to your content.
  5. Save the changes to your HTML, and the changes will take place on your Facebook page. Since you are already logged in to Facebook, you will see your content that is available only to users who "like" your page. Log out of Facebook to see how your page appears to a new user. After logging out, you will see your graphic or link to "like" your page that you included in the "<fb:else>" part of your code. You will also notice that you can't see the content that is available only to users who "like" your page.
