Nothing gets done unless there is an action

"I listen and I forget, I see and remember, I experience and I understand" - a Chinese proverb

In the recent conference attended, some academicians were proposing  that a behavior can be influenced by norms, beliefs and attitude.

Dr. Ned Roberto, the marketing research guru from AIM and who has a column on marketing at Inquirer (he grew quite old, thin and small) said otherwise.   Start first with the desired action, reward the desired action and attitude/norms values follow.

In marketing, this is called Pro - MOTION.   You reward an action or motion.

Thus, we can probably encourage having people do work on time (Habakuk) by rewarding those who come early and fining those who come late. (We will do this at 3ffb beginning Dec 10) Or do a role playing, rather than having lectures.  Or give hell to those who do not follow.

Nothing gets done until there is action
