Acres of Diamond

Acres of Diamond by Russel Conwell

Are you doing/will do things asked here:?  Can you do your diamond mining now  Have you dug deep into yourself, your own knowledge or job., or you wish to escape?

Are you lured by better prospects elsewhere?  Is working for a much higher salary abroad (where expenses are equally astronomical?

Are you a rolling stone that gathers no moss?

"Ang manok na palipat lipat ng hapunan, ni taeng pirok walang naiipon."  Are you such a chicken?

Is the pasture/lawn of your neighbor always greener?

DIAMOND MINING
To prospect your own acres of diamonds and unearth the opportunities that exist in your life right now, regularly challenge yourself with some key questions:
  1. How good am I at what I'm presently doing?
  2. Can I call myself a first-class professional at my work?
  3. How would my work stand up against the work of others in my field?
  4. Do I know all I can about my industry or profession?
  5. How can the customer be given a better break?
  6. How can I increase my service?
  7. There are rare and very marketable diamonds lurking all around me. Have I been looking for them? Have I examined every facet of my work and of the industry or profession in which it has its life?
  8. There are better ways to do what I'm presently doing. What are they?
  9. How will my work be performed 20 years from now?
  10. Everything in the world is in a state of evolution and improvement. How can I do now what will eventually be done anyway?

  1. Good afternoon! thank you sir for posting the "Acres of Diamond". Mining our own diamond challenge us to be the best of we can be. Through these questions, we can easily evaluate our improvements at work:

    1. As an employee, how good am I at what I'm presently doing?
Do I expand my capabilities and go out of my comfort zone?

    2. Can I call myself a first-class professional at my work?
Do I manage my time properly?

    3. How would my work stand up against the work of others in my field?
Did I already bring out the best in me?

    4. Do I know all I can about my industry or profession?
    Self Mastery? Work/Profession mastery?

    5. How can the customer be given a better break?
To Give the best service that there is.
How can I increase my service?

With these questions, I am aligning my goals and perspective in line to our company's Vision and Mission.
