This is a simplified 5S Implementation, identifying its element and establishing the implementation plan, specifying how to do it, communicating it to the group, training and doing it.
ReplyDelete1. The systematic organization wherein there is elimination of finding and reduction of part selection errors thus reduced cost, improved quality and increase product options
2. Sorting Visual Placement - nice and clean looking appearance of the workplace, shiny floors/tiles and eliminate finding, the non-conformers, motion thus decreasing our cost, increased safety and improvement in quality of work and product options;
3. Scrubbing - cleaning, increased safety, tpm and increase equipment knowledge;
4. Standardization Control - increasing life of equipment because of the regular check up/maintenance, employees with high morale and clean environment and non-conformers are easily identified thus quality of work improved and there is a consistency of delivery
5. Success of 5S implementation depends on shitsuke, discipline and verification of its effectiveness.
I like the 5S Work sheet or the "To Do Plan. The worksheet is a great tool in identifying and eliminating the non-conformers or red-tagging and transforming them into a conformers.
