Discussion with SMD of Sympathy and chief of Sympathy

This post took the opportunity to have discussion with AVUS and Ms Mary Rose Jacinto regarding mortuary agreement

1.  They told us that in the current mortuary agreeemnt, they get only a fraction of the package prize as with Eternal.  They do however make money on upgrading.

We agreed to have them email to me the price package and casket so that we can make a mortuary agreeent and pricing accordingly.

AVUS suggested that there must be leeway for flexibility for pricing.  With too tight pricing, the business is transferred to the mortuary and that includes repeat sales

2.  The mortuary that are qualified for mortuary agreement with memorial plan atre category 3:

    1.   with memorial chapels
    2.  with embalming room
    3.  licensed embalmer.

    DFPI may have gone or into mortuary agreement with small time mortuary who are not in this category

3.  If we do business with Holy Gardens - Sympathy, our market coverage in Rizal and MM are:

      Angono, Binangonan, Taytay, Cainta Antipolo, Markina, Pasig and Mandaluyong

4. They are putting up chapels and crematorium in the following areas:

    San Pascual Batangas

     Polomolok Cotabato and

     Antipolo City at Holy Gardens  Valley

    AVUS vision matches mine and they are grabbing the funeral service as the opportunity.  They have trained some of their staff, made them take exams and now are licensed embalmer

   For Angono they make:

    P500,000 on crem

    P500,000 on caskets

   P2,000,000 on chapel use.  They charge P10,000 a ngiht for aircon with family room

5.  The casket that we have are too high for the packages.that we have envisioned

   eg.  they have senior Lizo for P100,000

         Our flexi qualifies for P200,000 package

         Their half glass is for their 30,000 package

     However they have imported metal casket from China which they use for rental 

6.  The cremation package:

    The cremation package they have is only for cremation:

   P28,000 cover the cost of cremation, the urn, and rental for metal imported casket. The rental is only for 20 to 30 uses only

7.  Training of CMS personnel

    They have modified their core values to include integrity and honesty and excellence.   The staff who connive with competitor or who makes money for himself is an abomination or who trains with us and then joins competitor is not to be tolerated.

   He prefers staff who are new and not from other mortuary.  He trains them well and farms them out only if fully trained.   So he is rather hesitant to train our staff


N . B.  Surprise surprise. Their biggest competitor here, Janzen still wants to do business with us

1.  We await the final elevation and plan of Engr. Ben Alcantara who has been given D/P for the planning of the bangin.  He awaits the as built plan from other sources. However he has not clarified as to whether the as built plans  is for the 1 hectare only or the entire 5 hectare.  He has indicated that he needs the elevation for the boundary of the developed and undeveloped area.  That is not clear yet because he has not replied to text messages or email.

I did not sign the checks for sick leave conversion (the parties concerned may request other officers for their signature.

I wouild like to call the attention of every one especially of the AP and other 3ffvb staff, of the provision of our handbook which contains our policies under the title Sick Leaves:


Sick Leaves

          Paid sick leaves are availed of employees who get sick and are confined.  Such sickness must be supported by medical certificates.  Sick leaves that are not availed of are accumulated until they reach 30 leave credits. (That will take about 4 years to accumulate)  Those that are in excess of 30 credits are to be converted into cash

           To avail of sick leave, the employee must submit proof of his hospitalization and medical care. Employees cannot avail of leave or LOA thru text / e-mail / phone.


PLEASE BE GUIDED ACCORDINGLY.

I invite our trainees and the rest of 3ffb staff to read and master our policies and implement them accordingly before arguing vehemently  so that they will deserve to be really promoted.

We covered several topic today in our AM talk which I feel very strongly about;

1.  Our daily bread  What can I give Him


   This Christmas, we are asked what gift can we give to Him who gave His life for us.
    This Christmas, we are vaguely reminded to give our best for Him. But what does it really take?

     Some concrete suggestions from 

Many of these are listed in Romans 12 and 1 Corinthians 12. Or we might long to show more of the fruit of the Holy Spirit: to be more loving, joyful, peaceful, patient, kind and good, faithful, gentle and self-controlled (Gal. 5:22–2  (this is addressed to the one in charge in Calamba newly appointed who is the subject of complaint of sellers)

2.  In Syria there is a group that caught the attention of the world.  There are about 2,700 of them, all volunteers, unpaid, and risking their lives to save the lives of their fellow men from collapsed building, from bombing, from fires.  They have rescued and saved 72,000 lives all ready.  They risked their lives. About 140 of them have died They are called heroes with white helmets.   



3.  How can we be heroes in our own turf/homeland.

    The organization is rife with complaints about unpaid rice allowances which were given before.  There was doubling of rice allowance for certain year, but for entire year since December 2015,  nothing was paid.  We might have neglected to pay the same in 2016;  we have to get to the bottom of this.

   Our staff, in failing to do their job in accordance with our own prescribed policy/process and laws to that effect might have committed a violation that would expose again the company to expensive litigation




   We are not asking our staff be heroes, extraordinary persons exposing themselves to danger, but to care for their fellow workers who might have been deprived when their rice allowance and other allowance are not paid;

       In correcting this mistake:

      1.  We align ourselves with our mission

          To provide best tributes and loving memories to customers and non-customers  alike.

The above SBUs failed to submit finalized /corrected SBU plans for 2016 increase their income.  A memo was sent on December 20, (3 days before) notifying the SBUs of the deadline.  Still the above 3 failed to comply.

Please take note of the line in the memo:

Should the SBU fail to meet the deadline, the privileges for earning more based on NCR, the tools:   incentives, the sale of PIS and PMS, marketing incentives are deemed waived and may not be used during the year.   It is deemed as lack of interest and commitment to be more and do morel



This office can not comprehend why such an opportunity should be missed or the heads fail to comply.

The non submission is also a violation of CCD:  to wit:  2.31  Failure to submit assigned work on agreed time -  Class C

How can we be successful if we keep on doing the wrong thing:     being late, setting wrong priority

Background/Reality

I just learned affer inquiring about the 13th month of employees that a certain individual's 13th month shall be withheld becaue of he borrowings:  from the trainees.  This is an abuse of authority.

Therefore we shall this offense  under Section 2 with Class  D penalty

2.34   -  Borrowing money, gadgets, asking for joining fees, id fees, etc (where none is really required) from trainees (both office and sales) suppliers.  And even more so for refusing or failing to pay.

When discovered,and if proven under investigation, such abuse shall be classified as such at the date committed and the resignation of the employee after duly informing him shall be classified as dismissed.

This shall be added to the CCD list immediately and for strict compliance
