SUBJECT: PLAN OF ACTION ON DISAPPOINTING THINGS NOTED AT OTON, CALAPAN, PANGASINAN, AND LA UNION
I enjoin the people concerned at the above mentioned SBU to tell me, post, on how to deal squarely on a sustainable basis the tall grasses dirty surroundings that were noted on the visit to their sbu and posted at the blog. Up to now, which is another big issue: lack of obedience(insubordination/non action) I do not have definitive program of action. I dol not want these things to fall on seeds of indifference, blind eyes, and deaf ears. It is the time of reckoning.
The items to be covered in the response are the following:
l. Changes in your leadership style: lax, forgiving, democratic or this time stern and serious
2. Management systems and procedure:
l. Planning: work scheduling; surveying the site and work scheduling;
2. Communicating the work schedule and work standards
3. Control: record keeping of work standard, enforcing the work standard and schedules
Disciplining if necessary.(Up to the extent of dismissal if necessary)
3. Timeline.
4. Sustaining: self discipline. How do we maintain the levels reached as we raise the bar.
I understand, blogs are not read (as reported by our staff who joined me or paying attention). And worse, there no response nor are there action/reforms
What I observe are confirmed by observation:
l. GH reported that: he notes the tall grasses and dirt; he gives instruction and this is the outcome. People do not respect nor obey GH. How can we move forward. Why do we hire people who can not obey nor implement?
2. Those who do not wear uniform or id are indicators of how work is done at the site:
Oton: did not wear uniform in my visit
Calapan: no green t shirt on a friday, nor are they ids.
La Union: no ids
3. I also got reports that GT or CMO do not see eye to eye. There is and should not be such a situation. There is the CMO, the chief, who must be followed. Period.
4. Elsewhere we have indicated that GT must work early; GT in LU start at 9 am. Starting at say 6 or 6:30, resting at l0, resuming at 2 pm have its benefits: its cooler and you are more efficient. The brushcutter will not breakdown since it is cool.
These things that are happening indicate leaders who do not have guts and backbones. Kayo pinagkatiwalaan, (Parable of the talents, please do your job.

Blogs is one of our tools in communication. Pictures posted in our blogs are actionable items that needs to be corrected or benchmark.
ReplyDeleteOfficer must be authoritative in our orders especially in beautification of memorial park.
Work schedule is needed to be productive. Reward the doers and punish the who failed to act.
In HG Greenhills all staff wear Holy Gardens t-shirt on Friday and Saturday. GT comes to work at 6:00 am, 6:30 and the late is 7:00 am.
If our staff do not obey our orders, they should get out of the bus! We need discipline people who have sense or ownership and passion to our business, our products and services and our VMBP.

Good morning sir, I pay attention to this concern sir, I will always monitor all things on how we become a beautiful memorial park. I will discuss this blogs to the GT for them to pay attention to their concern.

Being the ACMo of HGLUMP i will promise and do my best to change the undesirable things that was noted during the SBU visit:
ReplyDelete1. no ID's- starting today, i will make sure that all staff have ID's. for new employees, temporary ID shall be issued.
2. If force is needed to make all the staff follow then i must do it. Suspension or worse termination shall be applied if still staff are hesitant to follow. Being the ACMO i must be strict and firm with my position.
Work schedule given to FT's should be monitored daily. Kelangan tutukan. Ang work schedule dapat masunod. Memohan ang hindi nakatapos ng work schedule.
Ang Hglump Staff ay nakauniform ng green t-shirt every friday and saturday. It's our uniform so we must be proud in wearing it.
aayusin ko po yung time ng mga GT. From now on start po sila ng 6:00 or 6:30 para po mas malamig at mas productive po sila. I should be strict in time, wala dapat late.
Every one should practice or have a sense of ownership. ang hindi marunong sumunod ay umalis. We need people who are passionate and ready to sacrifice just to make the job well done.

ReplyDeletel. Change in my leadership; I will be strict this time and be serious in delivering my orders as a chief of HG Pang. I will embrace my position and be willing to raise the bar higher as before. I will be firm with my decisions and be responsible in my actions. Those who cannot follow simple instructions and obey standards are subject to disciplinary measures. Those who are hard headed must get off the bus fast forgiving is not an issue here. We are not in a home or at the church but in an organization that requires responsive people, discipline and reliable employees.
2. Management systems and procedure:
l. Planning:
Site inspection must be done early morning so as to have close supervision on what area must be prioritize. I am not a rat that stays always inside a hole but I have to go outside to take charge of everything. I must focus on the Nice and Clean appearance of the park. Intensive supervision and planning on work schedules must be focus within the day.
2. Communicating the work schedule and work standards
GT must be directly contacted by CMO and have a conversation on what work schedules and standards must be accomplished. I will continuously meet them to make the communication line open. All work assignments must be clear to them by repeating what is being told to know that the message is clear and being understood.
Misunderstanding comes when we don’t meet or talk to our workers. Everything goes will happen/“My Way”
3. Control:
Checking of work schedules as to what has planned vs. what is being done must be properly recorded and check by me, I will be strict in delivering schedules towards them and see to it that it is truthful and 100% accomplished/done through site visitation and direct checking every pm.
3. Timeline. Starting today, Nov. 4, 2011.
4. Sustaining:
Giving due respect to our co employees especially our boss is a must. We are hired to obey and implement standards and give due respect to them.
Simple things like wearing IDs and uniforms are a form of obedience. I should check it from time to time.
I will reschedule them by coming at 6-10 and 2-6 so that they will become more efficient.

Good afternoon, all my reports was based only on what CMO/ACMO had reported on me, I always encouraged them to send/post pictures of their tasks at the blogs and as we look at the pictures, it was great and really accomplished!. But when Sir Jorge himself visited our SBU's, the truth reveals the hidden situation of all sites. BAKIT? Madaming dahilan....
ReplyDelete-To our CMO/ACMO including marketing specialist & CSS, please find time to visit the daily activities of our GT to prove that they are doing their tasks according to work schedules and responsibilities
-Subukan naman po nating MAG-IKOT sa ating Memorial Park kahit na mataas ang sikat ng araw, para mamonitor kung ginagampanan ng GT ang kanilang tungkulin, Batu-bato sa langit ang tamaan huwag magagalit!!!
-Bigyan na po ng disciplinary action ang mga GT na hindi sumusunod sa direct order ng mga CMO/ACMO/Engr
-Kulang sa disiplina ang ibang GT, walang kusa at malasakit sa HG, inuumpisahan ang trabaho ayon sa work schedule pero hindi tinatapos, dapat sa ganitong GT PINAPALITAN NA!!!
- Ako po palagi ang napapahiya dahil sa maling mga reports natin, SANA NAMAN MABAGO NATIN ITO AT MAISAAYOS!!!...

1. Changes in leadership style: I was forgiving / democratic for the past as an Acting ACMO because I want them to obey/respect me as their head and for them to do their job gladly, but i think it is not effective. So I will change my leadership style, I will be more stern and meticulous in checking their work standard. Magiging makulit at mabusisi sa mga ipinagagawa sa kanila.

1. Planning: After Sir JUS visit here in Calapan, I started to make changes/work on his comments and suggestions on the appearance of the site and I make it sure to check the site whether what I have scheduled for the Garden Contractor were done correctly and properly;
As for HGOMP, I make it sure that I talk daily with the Garden Technician and give instructions to them for their work schedule, in the afternoon they reported to me their accomplishment. I require them to send or post pictures of what has done at the site for checking & monitoring.
2. In communicating the work schedule and work standards-I talked to the Garden Contractor daily about their Work Schedule and discussed sir JUS comments on the site, I also showed them landscaping pictures for their additional knowledge and benchmark it.
3. At the end of the day, I checked the Garden Contractor's notebook as to whether their actual accomplishment matches on what they have written. In case of non-compliance, I will apply necessary disciplinary actions.
4. I have already given them copy of their daily work schedule for their reference and guide.
As for the IDs I already provided them IDs last October 31, 2011 but their pictures were not yet available, but now they already wear their IDs
For the uniform, Office staff wore green shirt, GCs doesnt were green shirts but I already bought for them.
For HGOMP, they don't have reasons not to be in green shirt every friday because it was already provided. Close checking and monitoring will be done.
I enjoined my staff to please cooperate with me to raise the bar.

Discipline towards work is really needed. It is our responsibility to have a mindset that sense of ownership in our memorial park business is needed to do our task well. Eliminating such disappointing things will help us sell and collect more, thus help uplift the quality of products and services we our offering to our customers and non- customers.
